Join us to welcome a new exhibition at The Society’s Museum of Bronx History on Thursday April 29th.

March 2010 marks the 70th anniversary since the start of tenant occupation of Parkchester. This massive community, planned and developed by the Metropolitan Insurance Company, was heralded at the 1939 New York World’s Fair as the wave of the future.

The exhibition runs through October 3rd.

Set throughout the Botanical Garden's spectacular 250-acre landscape, The Edible Garden will feature numerous vegetable gardens and multiple displays, demonstrations from food and gardening experts, celebrity appearances during four festival weekends, and exciting programs that demonstrate the bounty, economy, and nutritional value of edible plants. Proceeds benefit the Children’s Gardening program.

Remediate/Re-Vision showcases artists' projects in public parks, water treatment facilities, waterfronts and city roofs, raising awareness about issues concerning watershed fragility, industrial and natural history, personal responsibility and ecological balance.
