This New York Times acclaimed restaurant located in our very own borough has some of the city’s best authentic Mexican food. Mexicocina Mezcaleria has been serving the South Bronx since 2008, and doesn’t intend to stop anytime soon. Antonio Vilchis, the owner, talks about his business with a sense of pride you can also taste in his food, saying he “worked very hard to save money to open up Mexicocina Mezcaleria.”

Mexicocina delivers a broad menu that spans from classic Mexican fare like Birria, Huaraches Con Carne, Taco de Chorizo, and Tilapia a la Mexicana to dishes with creative twists like their Birria Ramen that can attest to their successful creativity, providing a rich, delicious broth.
