The Bronx Walk of Fame is a 23-block stretch of the Grand Concourse lined with “street signs” celebrating some of the borough’s greats — like Colin Powell, Chazz Palminteri, Rita Moreno and over one hundred more. Wear your walking shoes and join us for a 90-minute walk along the Walk of Fame and discover historical sites along the way. Bring a camera to snap a shot under your favorite Bronx celebrity’s sign!

The most exciting part? You’ll also be one of the first to use our new Bronx Walk of Fame app, which was created to give those near and far the chance to experience the Walk of Fame. You can use the app to follow along on our walk and learn more about each inductee’s career, and how their success traces back to The Bronx!

This event will bring together some of the most talented gospel artists to celebrate faith, hope, and the power of music to uplift our spirits.

This gospel concert is a celebration of faith, community, and the transformative power of music. This invite-only press conference and sponsor appreciation event will be the official kickoff to Bronx Week. It serves as an opportunity for Bronx Week organizers to speak in front of the press about the exciting things coming up. The Borough President will announce the new inductees to the Bronx Walk of Fame and the People’s Choice Award - which will be awarded to a Bronxite who has had an impact on the media and arts. Additionally, The Bronx Tourism Council will debut the new Bronx Walk of Fame interactive app. This will be followed by a sponsorship appreciation reception, which all sponsors will be invited to.

Our Annual Bronx Week Labor Breakfast celebrates the social and economic achievements of union workers throughout New York City. Labor unions continue to raise the standard of living for all its workers. This event gives us the opportunity to honor brothers and sisters in labor.

This event will include tennis skills and drills, followed by free play. The event is to strengthen father and child engagement in the Bronx. It will encourage the importance of a father’s involvement in their children’s life to help empower their growth and education. Physical activity is vital for a child’s development and lays the foundation for a healthy and active life. In addition, active male role models can encourage their child or children to participate in physical activity. The more time you spend with your children, the more attuned you will be to their emerging abilities. Every child needs a father or male role model who is crazy about them. Adrienne Harris, New York State Superintendent of Financial Services will address over 320 financial leaders, business owners, real estate brokers, and other professionals on the outstanding changes The Bronx has experienced in the past decade and indicate how BICNY’s SBA 504 & Community Advantage programs are working on behalf of The Bronx.

The Bronx is the 62nd and last county of the State of New York. Created in 1914, this year the county celebrates 111 years. Join your Bronx Borough Historian Angel Hernandez on a historic walking for this year’s Bronx Week celebration. The tour will begin at the old Bronx Borough Courthouse on E.161st Street and Third Avenue, and will end at the Bronx County building on the Grand Concourse. This free walking tour will run about two hours. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

A captivating walking tour of architectural wonders and vibrant public spaces beginning at The Bronx Museum of the Arts at East 166th Street and concluding at the intersection of 161st Street. Resident Historian and Senior Urban Planner Sam Goodman will share his knowledge of the historic art deco promenade of the Grand Concourse. The tour will include notable landmarks such as Joyce Kilmer Park and hidden gems of building lobby interiors. The tour is limited to 20 participants, so you must RSVP to Sam Goodman at sgoodman@bronxbp.nyc.gov reserve your spot. The tour is free of charge and will be cancelled in the occurrence of rain.

A celebration of Bronx Veterans for their service to our country; this event will recognize and thank our borough’s veterans, as well as organizations that advocate for and support our veterans. We will remember recently fallen soldiers, and network with veterans from throughout the borough and city with delicious food and music.

For the third consecutive year, Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson has teamed up with CCNY and the Bronx AIA to work with a studio of student architects that will present their proposals for the adaptive reuse of a site in The Bronx. This year the site will be located at the historic former Bronx Courthouse, located at 878 Brook Avenue, in the Melrose neighborhood. Each student team has created models of their proposal and will make a presentation that reflects their work with a focus on adaptive reuse of the former Courthouse. Our partner, Chase Bank, will be providing a workshop on Money Management & Budgeting for youth, and a second workshop called “Credit 101” for our parents and adults. There will also be additional resources provided by various Financial Literacy Organizations for all community members to take advantage of – don’t miss out!

The BX Factor is a competition hosted by the Bronx Economic Development Corporation. Five local Bronx business owners will present ideas on how they can improve their small business to a panel of judges, and the winner will be awarded a $10,000 prize to put toward their business idea. Join us on our 11th year as a Bronx Week-born event for an intriguing expedition into the debatable lands of Marble Hill. Make sure you wear helmets and sneakers -we’re going to expand The Bronx by Four acres. This walking tour is free to the public. The last game of the monthlong African Nation Soccer Tournament will occur during Bronx Week. The tournament is expected to attract quite a crowd!

The 53rd Annual Bronx Ball will be a celebration of the new Bronx Walk of Fame inductees, the People’s Choice Award Winner, and the recipient of the Key to the Borough. The Ball will include a cocktail hour, dinner, music, dancing and more! This is a black-
tie (formal) event. Tickets can be found at ilovethebronx.com.

This is a celebration of Bronx pride as schools, dance teams, step teams, drill teams, marching bands, community groups, and more march to show school spirit and all of the talents in our great borough. Application is required, and it is open to all.

The festival will have vendors that will be selling various items, along with a wide selection of food from multiple vendors.  Come to the Bronx Food & Arts Festival, to buy some gifts for your family and friends, and even yourself, and to eat good food, all to the sound of music. The Food & Arts Festival is truly a festive occasion for all to enjoy!

We are seeking artists who create and sell their original work to join us for The Food & Arts Festival on May 18th from 12 pm to 6 pm.

The event is held outdoors, rain or shine, and will attract a broad community audience! We encourage participation from artists offering affordable, weather-resistant pieces, rather than juried or high-end fine art. Vendor fees may be requested. If you are a vendor that is not selling food, you are not required to get a Temporary Street Vendor’s Permit to participate in the Food & Arts Festival. However, food vendors will still need a Temporary Food Service Establishment (TFSE) permit from the New York City Department of Health (DOH) and a Food Handling Certificate.

Join us for one of the last Bronx Week events — the concert on Mosholu Parkway! The concert is the grand finale to the parade and takes place at the end of the parade’s route. Don’t miss out on this exciting end to Bronx Week!

This event will bring together girls and gender-expansive youth in middle and high school grades to explore leadership and empowerment for girls in The Bronx encouraging discussion and intergenerational collaboration. This event is closed to the public and in partnership with public school districts across The Bronx.
