Take the kids to Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island for a fun day of track and field events! Kids can choose from age-appropriate activities they'd like to try, including sprints, a longer distance run, relays on the track, shot put, long jump, obstacle courses, and more! Icahn Stadium is a world-class track and field facility, and this event is a perfect way to introduce kids to the sport.

An amazing annual tradition hosted by one of our closest community partners, the Riverdale Y 5K & Fun Run is composed of a timed 5K run for individual runners, an untimed 1K family-friendly fun run/walk, and a post-race celebration with activities, games, and fun.

The Riverdale Main Streets Alliance is honored to announce that we will be receiving the "Cultivating The Bronx" Award at the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance’s annual Springtime Shindig on May 27.

Join Wave Hill at their annual Garden Fête gala on May 28, where Katie Michel will be honored for her vision and dedication that has shaped Wave Hill into what it is today.

Our 2026 theme, Dream Big, Stay Rooted, is a call to action to aim for the stars while honoring and staying grounded in your heritage. To amplify this message, the Festival line-up includes music, art and dance forms from homegrown Latin Jazz, Mambo and Salsa to Afro Cuban HipHop.
